M-CTRAS Lifetime Achievement Award (Link to PDF)
This award recognizes an outstanding M-CTRAS Senior Scholar who has made significant contributions to mathematics and teacher education at the local, national, and international levels. The nominated individual must demonstrate strong evidence on championing research, policy, and/or practice related to mathematics, PreK–12 schools, and teacher education within and beyond the M-CTRAS community for more that 15 years. They should have also played a significant role in inspiring the next generations of mathematics researchers and educators, and in mentoring junior scholars and educators in mathematics and teacher education.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is by nomination only. The winner will be selected and forwarded by the M-CTRAS Policy and Award Committee to the Board of Directors for a final approval. The M-CTRAS is committed to the principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Hence, we encourage all M-CTRAS members to apply. Nomination Process:
• Ask your nominee if they are willing to be nominated and if so, send their up-to-date CV to you;
• Please write a letter of nomination (maximum one page, single-spaced) to describe the nominee’s contributions and why they deserve the award; and

The award winner will be notified prior to the M-CTRAS conference so they can have the opportunity to accept their award at the conference, if possible.
Best Paper Awards (Two Winners) (Link to PDF)
This award recognizes individuals or teams for their outstanding contributions to research related to mathematics teaching and learning in PreK–12 schools and teacher education. The award recognizes excellence in original research, innovative thinking, methodological rigor, and impact of the research beyond academic community. The M-CTRAS Best Paper Awards are awarding the best paper, not the best presentation.
Submission Process:
• At the conclusion of M-CTRAS conference, presenters who are interested to be considered for the Best Paper Award will submit their full-length papers (maximum 6,000 words, APA 7 format) to the M-CTRAS Policy and Award Committee Chair by October 31 by 11:59pm (PST). A submission of the paper will not preclude you from submitting your manuscript for publication. Winners of the awards are highly encouraged to submit their papers to the Journal of Mathematics Education Special Issue, a flagship journal of M-CTRAS, for consideration of publication.
• A panel of judges within the M-CTRAS Policy and Award Committee will be formed to review and select the two Best Paper Awards.
• Winners will be informed by March 31 the following year and be invited to receive the awards at M-CTRAS conference.
